Year 4 had an exciting visit from Electricity North West, who led a fascinating workshop all about electricity and electrical safety. The children learned about the potential hazards of electricity and discussed important ways to stay safe around electrical appliances at home and school. They then had the opportunity to become engineers for the morning, designing and building their own simple electrical circuits using wires, bulbs, switches, batteries and motors. The classroom buzzed with teamwork as the children worked collaboratively in pairs, showing fantastic problem solving, communication and perseverance to get their circuits working. It was a hands-on and engaging session!
