Year 5 Learn about Katherine Johnson

As part of science week each class is researching an inspirational woman in science. Year 5 have learnt all about Katherine Johnson and her amazing life time achievements. They learnt how she loved to count everything when she was very young and this lead to a love of maths. She went to high school when she was only 10 years old and graduated from university at 18. She worked for NASA and played a crucial role in landing the doomed Apollo 13 mission. She died at the age of 101 in 2020. Y5 are in awe of her successful life.
