As it is Children’s Mental Health week, we have been talking about our worries. The children were introduced to some worry worms and told that if we held the worm and tell them our worries, we can talk through the worry and make it go away. Some children were worried about nightmares they had had or someone not being their friend, so they shared their worry holding the worry worm and then got rid of the worry. We then had time for some meditation, where the children lie in a comfortable position and we listen to calming music and think of something good. The worry worms will now live in Reception for the children to share their worries with when needed.
