Year 3 have been very busy developing their knowledge of 3-digit numbers to 1,000. They used base ten, place value counters, charts and part whole models to partition 3-digit numbers. As well as writing them in digits and words, they also understood the value of each digit using partitioning to help them. The maths equipment helped to break numbers apart.
