Our Year 6 pupils recently took part in a fantastic transition workshop led by Barnardo's, helping them prepare for the exciting move to secondary school. The session gave pupils the opportunity to talk about their thoughts and feelings, explore any worries they may have, and learn practical strategies to support their wellbeing during this important change.

Following the workshop, the children completed a range of thoughtful activities to reflect on what they had learned. They designed their perfect secondary school, created a Well Ewing Hand

filled with people and strategies that can support them, and wrote a heartfelt letter to their future Year 7 self from their current Year 6 self, offering encouragement and advice for their first day at secondary school.

The workshop was incredibly valuable, leaving our pupils feeling more confident, positive, and prepared for the next stage of their educational journey.
