In RE, Year 5 have been learning about how the Holy Spirit came to the apostles, giving them courage to spread the word of God and the ability to speak in many languages during the festival of Pentecost.
They played a game of snap using images from the story. When they found a matching pair, they explained to their partner the meaning behind the image and how it connected to the story.
The children then imagined they were reporters in Jerusalem at the time of this event. They created news reports describing how the apostles were spreading the word of God and how people from different countries were able to understand them, no matter what language they spoke.
We have some budding reporters in the class!
