Gary is currently taking on the amazing challenge of running 100 marathons to raise money for Hospice at Home, and we were so excited to be part of his journey. When he arrived, the buzz around school was clear – everyone was eager to meet him and get moving.
We joined Gary on the playground and ran laps alongside him, cheering each other on as we went. It was inspiring to see his determination and energy, and it certainly motivated us to keep going, even when we started to feel a little tired!
The experience wasn’t just about running – it was about understanding the importance of helping others and supporting such a meaningful cause. Year 5 showed fantastic enthusiasm and teamwork, and we were all proud to take part.
A huge thank you to Gary for visiting us and letting us join in with such an inspiring challenge. We’ll definitely be cheering him on as he continues towards his 100 marathons!
