Reception celebrated World Book Day 2026 by dressing up in amazing costumes or coming to school in their cosy pyjamas. Throughout the day, the children took part in many fun activities to help promote their love for reading. They enjoyed making their own colourful bookmarks, colouring pictures, and completing lots of exciting activities based on traditional fairytale books. To finish the day, we shared our favourite stories with the Year 3 class. The Reception children especially loved being read to by the Year 3s and listening to their wonderful storytelling.
