Year 5 have been learning about separating mixture in science. They had a mixture of flour, raisins and sugar. They found it was easy to separate the raisins by sieving as they were larger but much harder to separate the flour and sugar as they both have smaller particles that went through the sieve. They are now tasked with the challenge of thinking how we can separate the flour and sugar!
