Year 1 were invited to visit Lexi’s farm at Pickett Howe. Lexi’s mum Sam also runs ‘Pony Pals Lakeland’ where she offers Equine human therapy sessions. Year 1 walked up to the farm and had the best time. They loved grooming the ponies, helping to muck out and even decorating the ponies with special paints. It was really special to cuddle kittens and guinea pigs. There were lots of enthusiastic egg collectors in Year 1 who did a great job hunting for eggs in amongst the hens and ducks. They enjoyed bottle feeding Bramble the lamb and meeting Blueberry the very friendly sheep. It was great learning about looking after the animals and we felt very lucky to have such a wonderful experience. A big thank you to Sam for her kindness.
