Dream Big

Year 6 have taken part in a brilliant workshop this afternoon, finding out all about the career opportunities both within Cumbria and nationwide. They found out about all the exciting businesses within Cumbria (some even very close to home), the wide range of jobs available and that some of these even involve travelling to other parts of the country or even worldwide. They also learned that it’s OK to change your career if you feel like you want to try something different. It was also great to learn that many career aspirations can be realised as a hobby, such as performing arts or sports. Everyone had the opportunity to meet local representatives from different local industries and interview them to find out more about their journey to the job they currently have. Year 6 came away inspired and full of appreciation and excitement about the bright futures that lie ahead of them and that the county, the nation, the world is their oyster.
