What a wonderful day we had celebrating King Charles’ Coronation! We enjoyed an ice cream, a Coronation Buffet lunch outside with the whole school and had lots of fun on the bouncy castle. We discussed the meaning of ‘British Values’ and the qualities of ‘mutual respect and tolerance’ and what it means to ‘pledge allegiance’ to King Charles. After learning about the history of St Edward's Crown, we designed and made our own version to wear on Coronation Day.
