Our topic this half term has been about journeys. We have been reading stories where the characters travel on a journey to get to different places. Our favourite has been ‘We’re going on a bear hunt’, when the children go out for a walk looking to find a bear.
This week we were able to go on our own journey, a walk to Egremont castle. On our journey over to the castle we saw a church, the doctors, lots of cars, some dogs and a bike. We then enjoyed some time exploring the castle before walking back to school.
On our journey we were also able to practise crossing the road safely and using stop, look and listen. The children were able to say when it was safe for us to cross over.
