Y6 enjoyed a day of books and fun on World Book Day this year. As well as dressing up in costumes from their favourite books they spent the afternoon sharing books with the children in Y1. 

Our wonderful Year 2 children have been celebrating their Phonics Screening success with a certificate presentation and the eating of Christmas cupcakes. They achieved some of the best results we’ve ever seen by a class. We are so very proud of them all!

Y6 are thoroughly enjoying their Autumn term class novels Street Child by Berlie Dougherty.

World Mental Health Day, 10th October 2021.

Year 2 had a great time celebrating World Book Day in school and from home. They shared books with each other, read in unusual places, recorded video book reviews and created book quizzes using Purple Mash.

Year 1 celebrated World Book Day by taking part in a reading challenge.  The children were asked to read and share a story in different places around the home, garden or whilst out on a walk.   Well done everyone for finding such interesting places to enjoy a story.

Y5 enjoyed creating a ‘Bedtime environment’ in order to relax and read their books. We all dressed in pyjamas, brought blankets and pillows in, had hot chocolate then snuggled down to enjoy reading. We also enjoyed reading stories to reception.

We loved being in our pyjamas all day today and shared books with Year 4, in the sunshine. We wrote book reviews about our favourite books, designed bookmarks, used the internet to research our favourite authors and listened to our class novel with hot chocolate, cream, marshmallows and biscuits.

Year 4 came to school dressed in their pyjamas today. They brought in their favourite books, wrote a biography about their favourite author and spent some time enjoying sharing books with their friends in the sunshine. 

Today we celebrated World Book Day by coming to school dressed in our pyjamas. We brought in our favourite books and shared them with each other. Then we used our favourite books to create a tally chart and a pictogram in Maths so that we could interpret the results.
