I think we could have some budding actors in Year 6! Today Year 6 spent the day learning and rehearsing a play entitled ‘A Walk Through History’. At the end of the day, they performed it to the whole school. Well done Year 6!

Year 3 thoroughly enjoyed their trip to the theatre to enjoy a diverse story about an Indian girl who loved to tell stories and the hardships that she faced. 
we had ice-cream, lunch, dancing and cheering. A wonderful day out!
 

Year 5 enjoyed recreating freeze frame scenes from ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’. We  then tried to guess which scene it was. 
 

Year 3 and 4 had a fantastic time at Keswick’s Theatre by the Lake. They watched their Christmas production of The Borrowers. What a marvellous show! They were amazed by how they made the actors seem like miniature people hiding under the floorboards. They enjoyed, singing, clapping, dancing along…

What a wonderful, memorable experience we all had at the theatre to watch the live performance of the much-loved classic tale The Borrowers, by Mary Norton! Thank you to Theatre by the Lake, Keswick, for their faultless hospitality and inviting us to to meet the cast.

Year 2 performed a brand new play called ‘Higgledy Piggledy Nativity’. We are very proud of them for putting on a truly amazing performance. Their family and friends thoroughly enjoyed every minute.

Well done Year 1 on their performance of ‘Shine Shine Star’. Everyone worked hard to give the best performance they could. They all shone bright.

Our Reception class did two performances of their play ‘The Bossy King’. Their families thoroughly enjoyed the show. There are certainly some stars for the future in this class.

We have been looking at the story of the Last Supper this week. We heard the story from the Bible and then acted out the scene. 

The whole school were treated to a unique production of Shakespeare’s Macbeth by Y6 this afternoon. The children worked all day on creating their amazing performance. They had to memorise lines and showed huge confidence in standing up in front of an audience. What an incredibly talented group of…
