Year 2 celebrated St Francis’ Feast Day with a class prayer and liturgy focused on him and what the Bible says about caring for animals. The children spent time finding out all about his life and the good works that he did. They found out that he is the patron saint of animals and loving and respecting God’s creation. Afterwards some of the children shared photos of their pets and talked about how they care for them. Then the children wrote prayers for animals and shared some animal biscuits as they reflected on how they can care for the animals in God’s creation.
