Year 3 have been studying regions and counties in the UK. They have located regions, capitals, counties, rivers, mountains and landmarks. After studying small scale maps over the last few weeks, they used their iPads to read large scale maps. They found their house, school, local facilities and physical/natural features where they live. Houses, buildings and even their cars could be seen when they zoomed in closely. It was great fun.
