As part of the centenary celebrations often Lancaster Diocese, a statue of Our Lady of Lourdes visited school. Year 2 spent time with the statue to pray and adore her. They learned about how she appeared to Saint Bernadette at Lourdes. Then they made their own grottos, like the one at Lourdes that Catholics pilgrimage to and seek the healing powers of the stream there.
