Year 6 Celebrate the Feast Day of St Bridget’s Day 2026
Year 6 celebrated the feast day of St Bridget, our school’s saint, by reflecting on her life and her dedication to serving God and caring for all of creation. The children learned about St Bridget’s kindness, generosity and respect for the natural world, which continue to inspire us today.
To mark the occasion, Year 6 led a prayer liturgy, giving everyone time to reflect on how we can follow St Bridget’s example in our own lives. Afterwards, the children scattered wildflower seeds around the school grounds as a symbol of our commitment to caring for creation. These flowers will help create a habitat for insects such as butterflies and bees.
Their meaningful celebration reminded us that by caring for the world around us, we are continuing the legacy of St Bridget.
