Year 6 marked World Mental Health Day 2026 by coming to school dressed in yellow and attending a special assembly. They learned about the importance of looking after our minds as well as our bodies, exploring this year’s theme: “Lived experiences heard: real voices, real change.” We discussed how small, daily habits, such as getting enough sleep, staying physically active and taking time to rest, can support our mental wellbeing. The children also learned the importance of checking in on friends, family and colleagues, listening carefully and supporting one another. Together, we can all make a difference by caring for each other’s mental health.
