Year 6 PE: Developing Our Netball Skills
Our Year 6 pupils have been developing their netball skills in PE lessons. They have been learning the key skills and techniques needed to play netball confidently and as part of a team.
During our lessons, pupils have been practising throwing and catching, developing accuracy and control when passing the ball to teammates. They have also been learning about attacking and defending, including how to find space, mark opponents and work together effectively.
Another important focus has been shooting, where pupils are developing their technique and accuracy when aiming for the net. They have also been putting all of these skills together through small-sided games, giving them opportunities to make decisions, communicate and apply their skills in a match situation.
It has been fantastic to see the pupils building their confidence, teamwork and understanding of the game while enjoying being active. We look forward to seeing their skills continue to develop throughout this half term!
