Exciting Plans for Our Local Play Park!
We were delighted to welcome our local Cllr Pollen and Liz Nichol, Community Development Officer from Cumberland Council, to school to meet with our School Council for a face-to-face consultation about the exciting plans to renovate and update our local play park.
The children had the opportunity to share their ideas and discuss the different types of play equipment they would love to see, as well as the age ranges the equipment should cater for. Their views will help Cumberland Council plan facilities that meet the needs of children and families throughout our local community.
Our School Council contributed lots of valuable suggestions and raised some important health and safety considerations, ensuring that the park will be an enjoyable and safe place for everyone to play.
To make sure every child has a voice, questionnaires have been left in school for children from each class to complete. A QR code will also be shared in our weekly newsletter, giving all children the opportunity to share their preferences and opinions.
The children are incredibly excited about the plans and are looking forward to seeing their local play park transformed with a fantastic range of new play equipment!
A huge thank you to Cllr Pollen and Liz Nichol for visiting us and giving our children the opportunity to help shape the future of their local play park.
